Ep. 150 – Natalie Ellis – Founder & CEO of #BossBabe

“I think as overachievers, we’re constantly thinking, there’s more that I can do. Am I doing my absolute best? Am I working as hard as I possibly can? Am I hitting the biggest goals I possibly can? It’s finding that balance, of why are you doing this and what are you willing to sacrifice? Are you willing to make our goal take a little longer so you can spend a bit more time working on your health and fitness. What are you willing to sacrifice, and when’s enough enough?”

Natalie Ellis – Founder & CEO of #BossBabe; Empowering ambitious women; Creating an online community globally; Having balance in your life.

Segment 1: (Length :04:00) – General Updates; Introduction to Natalie Ellis; Co-founding #BossBabe; building an online community globally; having confidence in yourself.

Natalie’s finer points:

  1. Being an entrepreneur since she was 13
  2. Solving business problems
  3. Building a community via Instagram
  4. Building a business online
  5. Having confidence in yourself
  6. Providing a place for you to gain more tools and skills

And whilst we were having this amazing success and I was doing all the things right, I just felt so lonely in the journey. It was this complete emotional roller coaster, more than I'd ever experienced before. My family and friends, they were supportive, but they just didn't get what I was doing at all. And I just felt really, really lonely.

Segment 2: (Length :04:00) – Talking with Natalie Ellis; embracing entrepreneurship; building on a mindset; having balance in your growth.

Natalie’s finer points:

  1. Empowering women around the world
  2. Breaking the barriers in entrepreneurship
  3. Growing and managing a global community
  4. Building on a mindset
  5. Having balance

I think as overachievers, we're constantly thinking, there's more that I can do. Am I doing my absolute best? Am I working as hard as I possibly can? Am I hitting the biggest goals I possibly can? It's finding that balance, of why are you doing this and what are you willing to sacrifice? Are you willing to make our goal take a little longer so you can spend a bit more time working on your health and fitness. What are you willing to sacrifice, and when's enough enough?

Segment 3: (Length :10:00) – Having a morning routine; creating healthy goals; having mentors and coaches to lead you through the journey.

Natalie’s finer points:

  1. Having non-negotiables for yourself
  2. The ebb and flow of an entrepreneur
  3. Having a morning routine
  4. Remembering to take time for yourself
  5. Having healthy goals
  6. Having mentors and coaches

So when we built our advisory board, we were looking for the gaps that we didn't have, and we really got them to challenge us, and make sure that we're working towards the right goals, and we're thinking about the right things. And I think, then having a coach and someone who has the skills you don't have, or is slightly further ahead of the journey than you is really important. Because instead of spending all that time learning it yourself, and making mistakes and all of that, you could just pay someone for a bit of a fast track.

“Segment 4(Length :03:00) – Hustler Thought of the Day:

Self-belief and confidence. I think it’s one of those things we’re never going to be completely amazing at, and we always have to keep working on it.
